Acts 4:13-21; Mk 16:9-15
Today’s Gospel highlights the continuing battle of Jesus with the unbelief of his disciples.
Why didn’t they believe the testimony of Mary Magdalene and two disciples from Emmaus?
Maybe they wanted to see the Risen Lord themselves!
Despite all these, Jesus does not spare them from the responsibility of proclaiming the Good News.
The Risen Lord’s approach exudes hope in the eventual transformation of the disciples.
There is no expiry date for God’s trust in us.
Like the ‘Prodigal Father,’ God awaits our return eagerly.
If God’s trust in us is real, it obligates our trustworthiness.
Can God trust us as he trusted his disciples?
