The phrase ‘God becoming a man’ presents a contradiction because God the Almighty cannot be and become a powerless human.
It is as contradictory as hot and cold, day and light, and east and west.
As contradictory as it is, it is the mystery of the incarnation that Christians are waiting to celebrate on Christmas Day.
What we find unfolding in the mystery of incarnation is that God the Father is willing to endure His Son’s voluntary sacrifice.
Christ willingly embraces what is unbecoming of a God so that our salvation is ensured.
Hence, incarnation itself proclaims divine love made manifest in a human form.
Such is the measure of divine love that we have been privileged with.
He became like us so that we would all become like Him. Come, let us adore Him!
