Christmas Novena – Day 2

God is born as a human. The God of infinite glory lowers Himself to assume the corruptible human form. This is the truth of the incarnation.
But why was he born as a child? Why wasn’t he created as an adult like Adam or Eve?
After all, a child is a dependent. It is powerless. It needs care.
If this is about a normal child, the unusual circumstances that surround the birth of Child Jesus make the divine child’s life all the more miserable.
He had to put up with a cold stable, a hard manger, and ‘wild friends.’
In short, the God-Child embraces marginality and vulnerability at every level of its existence.
What made it happen?
Love made it happen!
As regards Jesus, if sacrifice is the only medium to manifest his love, he is ready to walk to any extent to prove it.
The Baby Jesus is love in fulness! Come, let us adore Him!
