Monday, March 4, 2024 2 Kgs 5:1-5; Lk 4:24-30 In today’s Gospel, Jesus demonstrates ‘subversion’ as Divine Justice! The method of the use of non-Israelite exemplars like the widow in Zarephath and Naaman the Syrian following the previous examples like the Queen of Sheba and Ninevites (Mt 12:38-42) shows that Jesus is tilting the balance.
